Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media, Transport and Capital Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 5.27% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 4.33% or 12.4 points to end at 298.9 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 1.86% or 4.80 points to 262.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 7.06% or 2.60 points to trade at 34.22 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 5.46% or 5.05 points to end at 87.45 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 3.30% or 2.0 points to 59.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 80 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.33% or 12.4 to 298.9.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.19% or 2.10 to $67.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.86% or 2.08 to hit $74.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.70 to trade at $1202.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.38% to 9.6833, while USD/NOK fell 0.57% to 8.3526.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 95.03.
