Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 3.32% or 4.70 points to trade at 146.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) added 2.99% or 2.30 points to end at 79.30 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 2.63% or 1.70 points to 66.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which fell 4.48% or 2.65 points to trade at 59.50 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.04% or 0.70 points to end at 66.40 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 0.98% or 1.8 points to 182.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 91 to 84 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.31% or 0.18 to $57.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.32% or 0.20 to hit $62.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.79% or 10.10 to trade at $1272.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.95% to 9.8739, while USD/NOK rose 0.53% to 8.2986.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 92.98.
