Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 3.50% or 0.19 points to trade at 5.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) added 2.54% or 3.50 points to end at 141.50 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was up 2.35% or 3.00 points to 130.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which fell 1.17% or 1.50 points to trade at 127.00 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) declined 1.12% or 1.45 points to end at 128.10 and Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) was down 1.00% or 11.00 points to 1,090.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 148 to 132 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.69% or 1.30 to $78.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.78% or 1.42 to hit $81.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 11.65 to trade at $2,491.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.43% to 11.76, while USD/NOK fell 0.08% to 10.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 102.75.
