Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Commercial Service And Supplies and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 8.67% or 8.70 points to trade at 109.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 2.93% or 1.68 points to end at 58.98 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) was up 2.40% or 4.70 points to 200.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 5.37% or 12.5 points to trade at 220.2 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 4.01% or 1.47 points to end at 35.20 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 1.65% or 0.76 points to 45.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 117 to 97 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.37% or 12.5 to 220.2. Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.01% or 1.47 to 35.20.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.39% or 0.24 to $62.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.80% or 0.57 to hit $71.81 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.30 to trade at $1298.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.27% to 9.7754, while USD/NOK fell 0.24% to 8.7231.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 97.333.
