Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Capital Goods, Diversified Financials and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 2.20% or 6.20 points to trade at 287.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 1.88% or 1.1 points to end at 61.8 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 1.50% or 1.35 points to 91.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 5.88% or 2.05 points to trade at 32.83 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.68% or 11.00 points to end at 399.00 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 1.66% or 5.0 points to 295.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 81 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.86% or 1.26 to $69.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.91% or 1.43 to hit $76.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.75% or 20.90 to trade at $1214.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.05% to 9.6855, while USD/NOK fell 0.71% to 8.3280.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 95.00.
