Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which rose 6.60% or 8.60 points to trade at 139.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) added 2.71% or 7.70 points to end at 292.00 and Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) was up 2.67% or 0.89 points to 34.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which fell 5.12% or 0.54 points to trade at 10.01 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 2.07% or 4.00 points to end at 189.00 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was down 1.74% or 4.40 points to 248.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 154 to 116 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.00% or 0.75 to $75.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.65% or 0.51 to hit $78.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 19.00 to trade at $2,451.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.29% to 11.84, while USD/NOK rose 0.50% to 10.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 103.14.
