Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which rose 3.66% or 3.48 points to trade at 98.46 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 1.92% or 1.85 points to end at 98.40 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) was up 1.91% or 3.75 points to 200.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 2.33% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.19 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) declined 1.27% or 0.16 points to end at 12.08 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 0.87% or 0.90 points to 102.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 140 to 132 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.43% or 0.30 to $70.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $74.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 20.00 to trade at $2,711.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 11.84, while USD/NOK rose 0.15% to 10.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 103.59.
