Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Capital Goods, Utilities and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 13.84% or 0.710 points to trade at 5.840 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 3.79% or 1.14 points to end at 31.25 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 3.73% or 1.46 points to 40.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which fell 4.79% or 6.10 points to trade at 121.20 at the close. BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) declined 2.74% or 1.550 points to end at 55.100 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) was down 2.17% or 4.50 points to 202.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 107 to 99 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.90% or 0.97 to $52.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.73% or 1.04 to hit $61.01 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 7.05 to trade at $1343.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.13% to 9.7845, while USD/NOK rose 0.22% to 8.6752.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 97.023.
