Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Media and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 1.71% or 0.77 points to trade at 45.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) added 1.56% or 3.00 points to end at 195.00 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 1.47% or 0.30 points to 20.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 3.18% or 0.14 points to trade at 4.26 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.28% or 5.1 points to end at 218.9 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 2.15% or 10.3 points to 469.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 87 to 84 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) fell to all time lows; losing 3.18% or 0.14 to 4.26. Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.28% or 5.1 to 218.9.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.55% or 0.28 to $50.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.34% or 0.18 to hit $53.79 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.77 to trade at $1260.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 9.3818, while USD/NOK fell 0.32% to 8.3516.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 96.88.
