Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Telecoms and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.04% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 1.94% or 3.2 points to trade at 168.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 1.62% or 1.30 points to end at 81.70 and Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) was up 1.59% or 1.25 points to 80.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 3.68% or 0.72 points to trade at 18.83 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 3.36% or 0.38 points to end at 10.93 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 2.41% or 1.55 points to 62.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 87 to 86 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.94% or 3.2 to 168.4.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.16% or 0.08 to $51.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.56% or 0.32 to hit $56.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.35 to trade at $1287.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.55% to 9.4092, while USD/NOK rose 0.35% to 7.9665.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 92.98.
