Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Utilities and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Elkem ASA (OL:ELK), which rose 4.00% or 0.86 points to trade at 22.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 3.01% or 0.82 points to end at 28.06 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) was up 2.20% or 1.020 points to 47.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 3.43% or 0.43 points to trade at 11.96 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.52% or 0.86 points to end at 33.20 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was down 1.59% or 3.80 points to 234.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 109 to 101 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.16% or 0.09 to $55.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $60.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 6.75 to trade at $1508.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.36% to 9.9488, while USD/NOK rose 0.37% to 8.9775.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.093.
