Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR), which rose 5.06% or 2.06 points to trade at 42.76 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 2.35% or 13.50 points to end at 588.50 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) was up 1.58% or 3.20 points to 205.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL), which fell 3.22% or 3.40 points to trade at 102.10 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 2.83% or 4.70 points to end at 161.35 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was down 2.03% or 2.30 points to 111.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 137 to 129 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.83% or 4.70 to 161.35.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.36% or 0.93 to $69.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.03% or 0.74 to hit $72.93 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.34% or 36.34 to trade at $2,754.74 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.27% to 11.71, while USD/NOK rose 0.08% to 11.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 106.38.
