TOKYO, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average fell 0.7 percent on Wednesday after the yen struck a fresh 15-year high against the dollar, with the stock index pulling further away from a three-week peak hit earlier this week.
The benchmark Nikkei was down 67.21 points at 9,232.10. It hit 9,321.82 on Monday, its highest close since Aug. 19.
