TOKYO, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average rose 0.7 percent on Wednesday after world stocks rallied after the Bank of Japan's surprise interest rate cut the day before, which fuelled speculation that other governments would take additional action to bolster the global economic recovery.
The benchmark Nikkei added 69.71 points to 9,588.47. It rose 1.5 percent on Tuesday after the BOJ pledged to pump more funds into the struggling economy and keep rates virtually at zero.
The broader Topix gained 0.7 percent to 838.12. (Reporting by Aiko Hayashi)
