TOKYO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average fell 0.3 percent on Thursday, weighed down by the strength of the yen, which reached a new 15-year high against the dollar the previous day.
The benchmark Nikkei fell 30.34 points to 9,661.09, while, the broader Topix dropped 0.2 percent to 843.11. (Reporting by Chikafumi Hodo; Editing by Joseph Radford)
