Investing.com – Nigeria stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lagos, the NSE 30 lost 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the NSE 30 were Uacn Prop (LAGOS:UACN), which rose 7.48% or 0.80 points to trade at 11.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Dangote Flour Mills PLC (LAGOS:DANGFLOUR) added 4.83% or 0.35 points to end at 7.55 and Nig Brew (LAGOS:NB) was up 3.70% or 3.20 points to 89.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unilever Nig (LAGOS:UNILEVE), which fell 6.44% or 2.90 points to trade at 42.10 at the close. Wapco (LAGOS:WAPCO) declined 4.35% or 1.00 points to end at 22.00 and Zenithbank (LAGOS:ZENITHB) was down 3.79% or 0.85 points to 21.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lagos by 46 to 45 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.50% or 0.37 to $74.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $84.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.70 to trade at $1205.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NGN was up 0.19% to 418.240, while USD/NGN fell 0.14% to 363.000.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 95.34.
