Investing.com – Nigeria stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lagos, the NSE 30 added 2.47% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the NSE 30 were Fbn Holdings (LAGOS:FBNH), which rose 10.21% or 1.190 points to trade at 12.850 at the close. Meanwhile, Diamond Bank (LAGOS:DIAMONB) added 9.96% or 0.260 points to end at 2.870 and Wemabank (LAGOS:WEMABAN) was up 9.76% or 0.080 points to 0.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wapco (LAGOS:WAPCO), which fell 3.37% or 1.82 points to trade at 53.00 at the close. Pz Cussons LG (LAGOS:PZ) declined 2.79% or 0.67 points to end at 23.36 and Uacn Prop (LAGOS:UACN) was down 2.70% or 0.50 points to 18.48.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lagos by 55 to 27 and 21 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.82% or 0.53 to $63.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.44% or 1.01 to hit $69.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.20 to trade at $1334.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NGN was down 0.33% to 440.370, while USD/NGN rose 0.14% to 360.500.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 90.36.
