Investing.com - Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Tuesday the company will eliminate some interior design options for the Model S sedan and Model X sport utility vehicle in a bid to simplify production at Tesla's assembly factory.
The announcement comes as shares of Tesla rallied Tuesday after some of the company's staunchest critics have changed their bearish outlook on the company ahead of third-quarter results due Wednesday.
Famed short-seller Andrew Left of Citron Research said he is betting on Tesla's stock ahead of the company's earnings report.
"Citron is long Tesla as the Model 3 is a proven hit and many of the TSLA warning signs have proven not to be significant," said Left in a note Tuesday. "Plain and simple – Tesla is destroying the competition," Left said.
Shares of Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) rose nearly 12%.
