Elon Musk, speaking virtually at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Wednesday, said towards the end of this year is "good timing" to find someone to run the social media platform Twitter.
Musk has previously said he is looking for someone to run the platform he acquired for $44 billion in October 2022. He tweeted in December: "I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams."
At the World Government Summit on Wednesday, when asked if he had found a new Twitter CEO and when they would be hired, Musk said he believes he needs to stabilize the organization and make sure it's in a financially healthy place and that the product roadmap is clearly laid out."
"I don't know, I'm guessing probably towards the end of this year would be good timing to find someone else to run the company, because I think it should be in a stable position around, you know, at the end of this year," Musk said.
