- The lift truck business revenue grew +13.2% Y/Y to $751.6M. Segment revenues: Americas +12.4% Y/Y to $487.4M, EMEA +23.5% Y/Y to $215.2M and JAPIC +9.2% Y/Y to $49. Bolonzi Q4 revenue grew +18% to $49.4M and Nuvera declined by -50% Y/Y to $400K.
- Q4 overall operating margin improved by 85 bps to 2.06%. The Lift truck business operating margin improved 89 bps to 3.85%, America improved by 66 bps to 4.88%, EMEA improved by 153 bps to 3.5% and JAPIC recovered by 484 bps to -1.22%.
- Q4 bookings were 24,600 units, or $615 million. Worldwide backlog was approx. 33,800 units, or approx. $860 million, as on December 31, 2017.
- Hyster-Yale agreed to acquire 75% of Zhejiang Maximal Forklift Company for an aggregated purchase price of $90M. The transaction is expected to close in second quarter 2018.
