Argus analysts raised their price target for Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) shares to $526 from $475 in a note Tuesday, maintaining their Buy rating on the stick, noting the company has "managed to put itself near the center of the generative AI platform transformation."
The investment firm expects Microsoft to continue to pursue long-term growth through its GenAI and cloud investments. "It may just hold the premier position in business software technology," states Argus.
While they acknowledge that the company is not immune to macroeconomic challenges, they believe it has as diversified and strong a set of assets as any company in the technology industry.
Microsoft "may even be seen as a haven by investors in uncertain times," adds Argus. "The company is just one of a few with a complete, intergrated product set aimed at enterprise efficienct, cloud transformation, collaboration, and business intelligence."
They conclude that Microsoft has a large and loyal customer base, as well as a large cash cushion and rock-solid balance sheet. Argus also highlighted Microsoft's dividend that they consider safe.
