BEIJING, April 15 (Reuters) - China will record more monthly trade deficits in the first half of this year, Yao Jian, a spokesman for the Commerce Ministry, said on Thursday.
China on Saturday reported a $7.24 billion trade deficit in March, the first since April 2004.
Speaking at a news conference, Yao restated China's line that the yuan's exchange rate is not to blame for America's economic problems, including unemployment. (Reporting by Aileen Wang and Alan Wheatley; Editing by Ken Wills)
