Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Telecoms and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 7.06% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.091 at the close. Meanwhile, Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 3.64% or 0.200 points to end at 5.700 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 3.33% or 0.010 points to 0.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which fell 5.07% or 0.300 points to trade at 5.620 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) declined 3.45% or 0.050 points to end at 1.450 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was down 3.03% or 0.010 points to 0.320.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 8 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Buenaventura (LM:BVN) fell to 3-years lows; falling 5.07% or 0.300 to 5.620. Shares in Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) rose to all time lows; rising 3.33% or 0.010 to 0.300.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.64% or 0.74 to $44.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.84% or 0.41 to hit $47.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.44% or 15.90 to trade at $1088.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.27% to 3.3083, while EUR/PEN fell 0.06% to 3.5867.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.20% at 99.27.
