Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were OrangePL (WA:OPL), which rose 2.54% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.25 at the close. Meanwhile, CCC SA (WA:CCCP) added 1.31% or 3.05 points to end at 236.70 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) was up 1.14% or 3.80 points to 338.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which fell 2.86% or 3.11 points to trade at 105.56 at the close. mBank SA (WA:MBK) declined 2.83% or 13.00 points to end at 447.00 and Synthos SA (WA:SNS) was down 1.71% or 0.080 points to 4.610.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 237 to 237 and 184 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kruk SA (WA:KRU) rose to all time highs; rising 1.14% or 3.80 to 338.50.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.57% or 0.28 to $49.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.88% or 0.45 to hit $51.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 8.04 to trade at $1257.44 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.00% to 4.2521, while USD/PLN rose 0.67% to 3.6477.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.65% at 93.90.
