Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 2.75% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice (TA:NICE), which rose 2.11% or 450 points to trade at 21800 at the close. Meanwhile, Osem (TA:OSEM) added 0.58% or 47 points to end at 8085 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) was up 0.32% or 0.2 points to 62.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which fell 5.77% or 3950 points to trade at 64550 at the close. Teva (TA:TEVA) declined 5.64% or 1270 points to end at 21260 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was down 4.53% or 2920 points to 61540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 305 to 39 and 109 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva (TA:TEVA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.64% or 1270 to 21260. Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.53% or 2920 to 61540.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 4.12% or 1.13 to $26.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.25% or 0.69 to hit $30.14 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 4.36% or 52.10 to trade at $1246.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.38% to 3.8930, while EUR/ILS rose 0.85% to 4.4173.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 95.52.
