NEW YORK, Oct 27 (Reuters) - The Nasdaq Composite pared losses but the broader market fell on Wednesday as investors reined in expectations of how aggressive the Federal Reserve may be in its efforts to stimulate the economy.
* The Nasdaq was shielded from the worst of the declines by better-than-expected corporate earnings and outlooks.
* The Dow Jones industrial average was down 75.49 points, or 0.68 percent, at 11,093.97. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 7.30 points, or 0.62 percent, at 1,178.34. The Nasdaq Composite Index was off 2.31 points, or 0.09 percent, at 2,494.98.
