Investing.com - The U.S. Dollar was lower against the Canadian Dollar on Thursday after the release of U.S. data on Initial Jobless Claims.
USD/CAD was trading at 0.9856, down 0.94% at time of writing.
The pair was likely to find support at 0.9767, Tuesday’s low, and resistance at 1.0010, Tuesday’s high.
Earlier in the day, official data showed that U.S. Initial Jobless Claims fell unexpectedly to a seasonally adjusted 395K last week from 402K in the preceding week whose figure was revised up from 400K.
Analysts had expected Initial Jobless Claims to rise to 401K last week.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Dollar was down against the Euro and the British Pound, with EUR/USD gaining 0.32% to hit 1.4224 and GBP/USD rising 0.52% to hit 1.6218.
