The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC), which rose 6.32% or 3.38 points to trade at 56.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) added 2.60% or 0.12 points to end at 4.74 and Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) was up 2.16% or 2.40 points to 113.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which fell 1.92% or 0.19 points to trade at 9.71 at the close. DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) declined 1.13% or 1.15 points to end at 100.50 and Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:PIRC) was down 1.00% or 0.06 points to 5.73.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 271 to 234 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.41% or 1.11 to $77.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.23% or 1.01 to hit $81.02 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.37% or 37.16 to trade at $2,754.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 108.81.
