Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as in the sectors led shares .

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Amplifon (BIT:AMPF), which rose 2.50% or 0.63 points to trade at 25.83 at the close. Meanwhile, Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) added 0.98% or 0.04 points to end at 4.34 and Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) was up 0.98% or 0.19 points to 19.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII), which fell 3.85% or 0.20 points to trade at 5.05 at the close. Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) declined 3.07% or 2.02 points to end at 63.86 and Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) was down 2.77% or 11.60 points to 406.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 346 to 173 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) fell to all time lows; down 3.85% or 0.20 to 5.05. Shares in Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) rose to 5-year highs; up 0.98% or 0.19 to 19.07.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.26% or 1.71 to $77.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.87% or 1.49 to hit $81.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.27% or 34.59 to trade at $2,680.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 109.74.
