The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 1.43% or 0.39 points to trade at 27.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI) added 0.73% or 0.06 points to end at 7.97 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) was up 0.67% or 0.06 points to 8.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which fell 6.98% or 0.70 points to trade at 9.40 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 4.83% or 0.29 points to end at 5.68 and A2A SpA (BIT:A2) was down 3.20% or 0.07 points to 2.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 353 to 174 and 47 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 3.42% or 2.53 to $76.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 3.35% or 2.58 to hit $79.50 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 32.31 to trade at $2,723.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 109.50.
