Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Travel & Leisure and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 2.45% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Recordati (MI:RECI), which rose 0.54% or 0.16 points to trade at 30.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MI:TENR) fell 0.48% or 0.07 points to end at 14.62 and Luxottica Group SpA (MI:LUX) was down 0.74% or 0.42 points to 56.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI), which fell 6.47% or 0.128 points to trade at 1.851 at the close. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 4.94% or 0.1580 points to end at 3.0420 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was down 4.79% or 0.54 points to 10.73.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 347 to 35 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.47% or 0.128 to 1.851. Shares in Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.94% or 0.1580 to 3.0420.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.67% or 0.50 to $73.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.95% or 0.80 to hit $83.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.34% or 16.20 to trade at $1189.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1477, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.8784.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 95.53.
