Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 2.37% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 37.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) fell 0.21% or 0.06 points to end at 27.90 and A2A (MI:A2) was down 0.59% or 0.009 points to 1.435 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Exor NV (MI:EXOR), which fell 6.08% or 3.56 points to trade at 55.04 at the close. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) declined 5.72% or 0.978 points to end at 16.110 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was down 4.68% or 0.515 points to 10.485.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 308 to 58 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.30% or 0.18 to $61.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.58% or 0.37 to hit $64.20 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.11% or 14.50 to trade at $1319.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.2317, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 89.97.
