Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 2.12% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 0.56% or 0.22 points to trade at 39.48 at the close. Meanwhile, UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) added 0.53% or 0.010 points to end at 1.905 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 0.44% or 0.50 points to 113.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which fell 7.22% or 0.63 points to trade at 8.15 at the close. Banca Generali (MI:BGN) declined 6.73% or 1.54 points to end at 21.34 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was down 6.58% or 0.159 points to 2.252.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 335 to 53 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.56% or 0.22 to 39.48. Shares in Banca Generali (MI:BGN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.73% or 1.54 to 21.34. Shares in Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.58% or 0.159 to 2.252.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.78% or 1.21 to $66.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.15% or 0.88 to hit $75.59 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.50 to trade at $1297.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1627, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8736.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.37.
