Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.90%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which rose 2.10% or 0.3660 points to trade at 17.8360 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) added 0.31% or 0.009 points to end at 3.085 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was up 0.31% or 0.03 points to 9.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Recordati (MI:RECI), which fell 8.06% or 2.80 points to trade at 31.96 at the close. Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) declined 6.19% or 1.37 points to end at 20.77 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was down 5.75% or 1.055 points to 17.285.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 293 to 73 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.33% or 0.82 to $60.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.04% or 0.68 to hit $64.83 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.20 to trade at $1318.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.2239, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8792.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 90.25.
