Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.80% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 1.04% or 0.030 points to trade at 2.926 at the close. Meanwhile, Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) added 0.66% or 0.021 points to end at 3.104 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) was up 0.37% or 0.017 points to 4.551 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which fell 4.43% or 0.43 points to trade at 9.32 at the close. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) declined 4.21% or 2.56 points to end at 58.24 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was down 4.20% or 0.1540 points to 3.5150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 340 to 49 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.45% or 0.29 to $63.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.74% or 0.50 to hit $67.12 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.50 to trade at $1332.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.2382, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8875.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 89.51.
