Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.79% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which rose 4.03% or 4.20 points to trade at 108.50 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) added 0.81% or 0.150 points to end at 18.755 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was up 0.14% or 0.007 points to 4.846 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which fell 6.30% or 0.98 points to trade at 14.65 at the close. Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) declined 5.41% or 0.430 points to end at 7.524 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was down 5.29% or 0.2340 points to 4.1900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 309 to 74 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.02% or 1.37 to $69.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.42% or 1.03 to hit $73.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1223.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.40% to 1.1613, while EUR/GBP rose 0.30% to 0.8910.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.81.
