Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.63%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 6.76% or 1.05 points to trade at 16.51 at the close. Meanwhile, DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) added 5.57% or 5.65 points to end at 107.10 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 3.46% or 0.78 points to 23.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UniCredit SpA (BIT:CRDI), which fell 5.31% or 2.28 points to trade at 40.56 at the close. Inwit (BIT:INWT) declined 5.25% or 0.54 points to end at 9.65 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) was down 4.78% or 0.30 points to 5.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 300 to 268 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.57% or 5.65 to 107.10. Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.78% or 0.30 to 5.98.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.05 to $71.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.34% or 0.26 to hit $75.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.68% or 73.60 to trade at $2,676.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.80% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.65% at 105.03.
