Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which fell 0.13% or 0.03 points to trade at 22.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) fell 0.62% or 0.30 points to end at 47.70 and Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) was down 0.65% or 0.040 points to 6.110 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which fell 3.50% or 0.1180 points to trade at 3.2540 at the close. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) declined 2.95% or 2.75 points to end at 90.60 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was down 2.94% or 0.1180 points to 3.9000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 296 to 63 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.23% or 0.11 to $48.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.23% or 0.12 to hit $51.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.53 to trade at $1292.63 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1812, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.9083.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 93.03.
