Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which rose 1.44% or 0.10 points to trade at 7.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) added 0.76% or 0.16 points to end at 21.26 and Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) was up 0.68% or 0.05 points to 7.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which fell 4.63% or 0.73 points to trade at 15.04 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 4.18% or 0.1620 points to end at 3.7180 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was down 3.19% or 0.1060 points to 3.2150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 246 to 124 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) rose to all time highs; rising 1.44% or 0.10 to 7.03.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.03% or 2.03 to $64.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.34% or 2.54 to hit $73.40 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.12% or 27.70 to trade at $1280.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1608, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8743.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 94.78.
