Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 4.33% or 0.880 points to trade at 21.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) added 3.77% or 1.50 points to end at 41.34 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 3.65% or 1.16 points to 32.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which fell 4.09% or 0.59 points to trade at 13.96 at the close. Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) declined 3.83% or 0.100 points to end at 2.498 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 3.56% or 0.5180 points to 14.0500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 200 to 163 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.77% or 1.50 to 41.34.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.36% or 0.23 to $64.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.41% or 0.31 to hit $74.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.40 to trade at $1303.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1717, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 93.85.
