Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Hera (BIT:HRA), which rose 1.43% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) added 1.36% or 0.08 points to end at 5.80 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 1.17% or 0.03 points to 2.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which fell 3.79% or 0.18 points to trade at 4.44 at the close. Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) declined 3.78% or 1.30 points to end at 33.09 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) was down 2.84% or 0.19 points to 6.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 299 to 184 and 52 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.21% or 0.17 to $81.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.15% or 0.13 to hit $85.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.15% or 27.30 to trade at $2,341.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 105.44.
