Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Salvatore Ferragamo SpA (MI:SFER), which rose 2.06% or 0.42 points to trade at 20.85 at the close. Meanwhile, A2A (MI:A2) added 1.63% or 0.024 points to end at 1.466 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was up 1.56% or 0.076 points to 4.935 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which fell 8.79% or 0.854 points to trade at 8.862 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 5.12% or 0.2390 points to end at 4.4320 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was down 4.83% or 0.0262 points to 0.5160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 204 to 151 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.14% or 0.69 to $59.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.96% or 0.68 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.37% or 16.80 to trade at $1209.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1328, while EUR/GBP rose 0.30% to 0.8726.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 96.77.
