Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which rose 1.17% or 0.25 points to trade at 21.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Terna (MI:TRN) added 0.42% or 0.021 points to end at 5.016 and Banca Generali (MI:BGN) was up 0.15% or 0.04 points to 26.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which fell 3.95% or 1.50 points to trade at 36.50 at the close. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.36% or 0.1010 points to end at 4.1820 and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) was down 2.32% or 0.442 points to 18.588.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 207 to 133 and 38 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.01% or 0.01 to $67.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $73.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 8.60 to trade at $1314.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1982, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.31.
