Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which rose 2.01% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 0.67% or 0.08 points to end at 11.98 and Terna (MI:TRN) was up 0.49% or 0.024 points to 4.968 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which fell 2.24% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.806 at the close. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.14% or 0.0880 points to end at 4.0180 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 2.06% or 0.3700 points to 17.6300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 254 to 114 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.95% or 0.47 to $49.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.51% or 0.27 to hit $52.43 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.89% or 11.42 to trade at $1290.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1755, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.9056.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 93.37.
