Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 1.33% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) added 1.09% or 0.15 points to end at 14.26 and Azimut Holding SpA (BIT:AZMT) was up 1.01% or 0.24 points to 24.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which fell 2.73% or 0.15 points to trade at 5.27 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 2.12% or 0.26 points to end at 11.93 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) was down 2.08% or 0.15 points to 7.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 327 to 194 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.85% or 1.27 to $69.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.52% or 1.11 to hit $74.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 6.30 to trade at $2,736.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 103.74.
