Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI), which rose 2.98% or 0.055 points to trade at 1.890 at the close. Meanwhile, Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) added 0.62% or 0.07 points to end at 10.54 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) was up 0.58% or 0.020 points to 3.489 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which fell 3.36% or 0.1250 points to trade at 3.6000 at the close. ENI (MI:ENI) declined 2.13% or 0.31 points to end at 14.32 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) was down 2.08% or 0.074 points to 3.489.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 211 to 137 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.37% or 0.75 to $53.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.23% or 0.78 to hit $62.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1227.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1404, while EUR/GBP fell 0.59% to 0.8856.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 96.393.
