Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (MI:ISP), which rose 2.15% or 0.045 points to trade at 2.165 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 2.12% or 0.0103 points to end at 0.4957 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) was up 1.88% or 0.071 points to 3.844 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which fell 5.61% or 2.15 points to trade at 36.16 at the close. Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) declined 3.39% or 0.39 points to end at 11.10 and Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) was down 3.32% or 0.24 points to 6.86.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 196 to 164 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.15% or 1.64 to $74.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.45% or 1.25 to hit $85.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1201.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.25% to 1.1506, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8841.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 95.46.
