Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 4.46% or 0.450 points to trade at 10.530 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) added 2.40% or 0.064 points to end at 2.730 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) was up 2.11% or 0.088 points to 4.262 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which fell 4.08% or 0.89 points to trade at 20.94 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) declined 3.11% or 0.20 points to end at 6.39 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was down 2.56% or 0.58 points to 22.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 285 to 88 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.57% or 0.32 to $55.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.43% or 0.27 to hit $61.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.05 to trade at $1277.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1792, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8960.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 93.79.
