Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 2.08% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) added 1.36% or 0.20 points to end at 14.56 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 1.31% or 0.30 points to 23.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which fell 4.25% or 4.00 points to trade at 90.10 at the close. Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) declined 2.37% or 1.38 points to end at 56.90 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) was down 1.87% or 1.89 points to 99.26.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 282 to 206 and 50 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.26% or 0.21 to $80.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.20% or 0.17 to hit $84.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.73% or 17.75 to trade at $2,438.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.85.
