Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Juventus Football Club (MI:JUVE), which rose 2.45% or 0.0310 points to trade at 1.2940 at the close. Meanwhile, UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) added 1.03% or 0.022 points to end at 2.158 and Amplifon (MI:AMPF) was up 0.89% or 0.140 points to 15.910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which fell 3.85% or 0.126 points to trade at 3.144 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 2.66% or 0.81 points to end at 29.67 and Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI) was down 2.39% or 0.047 points to 1.926.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 241 to 124 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.85% or 0.126 to 3.144.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.83% or 0.43 to $51.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.11% or 0.67 to hit $59.81 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.95 to trade at $1291.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1476, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8905.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 95.143.
